My Fave Brekkie | Lunch | Coffee Spots in Sydney

Others for Brekkie | Lunch | Brunch | Snack

  • Bill’s has outposts in Darlinghurst, Surry Hills or Bondi. Bill Granger, a beloved Sydney chef, offers a GREAT breakfast that could very well be the best in Sydney. Unpretentious. I still dream about the ricotta hotcakes w/ honeycomb butter.
  • The Fine Food Store in the Rocks above Circular Quay. Great little spot. Good brekkie, great coffee and super-friendly staff.
  • Room 10. This was my neighborhood go-to. Located below my flat in Potts Point and tucked into the alley on Llankelly Place. Get a flat white and either the “avo smash” (avocado with feta and mint on toast) or the banana bread (heated with lemon butter). Good God.
  • Harry's Cafe de Wheels. I don't know why, but Australia has a thing for meat pies. And THE place to get one is Harry's, which is a cart in Woolloomooloo. Be a pro and order a flaky meat pie with mushy peas (hold the sauce).
  • Messina is known by locals for having the very best, most terrific gelato. A few outposts around town. Amazing salted caramel white chocolate.
  • Beach Burrito Company is so fun! Great little Mexican spot in Bondi Beach; I love their frozen margaritas!
  • Three Blue Ducks is great for brunch in Bronte Beach. Hop in for a quick bite before tackling the Coastal Walk to Bondi.
  • Doyle's in Watson's Bay is a Sydney classic. It first opened its doors in 1885! It's famous for its fish and chips. Plan a day to visit Manly Beach and make a ferry stop along the way for lunch.
